Tareque Rahman expressed this sentiment on social media hours after the High Court Division acquitted him and all the accused in the case on Sunday.
Tarique Rahman and other accused in the case were convicted in two cases filed under the murder and explosives acts by the lower court. The verdict was given in the grenade attack case on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on August 21, 2004.
A bench of the High Court Division comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain overturned the lower court's verdict and gave the verdict on Sunday. BNP has expressed satisfaction with the High Court's verdict.
